I am a big fan of the original movie (before the Broadway play). I loved the movie version of the musical. I even played Timeless to Me at my wedding. I about cried during this one it was so bad. Now I need to listen to the soundtrack to get that horrible sing or of my head.
Btw Derek, Ariana, and Jennifer were PHENOMENAL. Best part of the show.
Ariana was annoying tried to be the star with her overrated singing.
Derek was good.
Jennifer Hudson is like Christina Aguleira and overdoes her singing too much.

shareAriana bored me. She brought nothing to the character of Penny. Harvey is too old and can't sing but I thought it was fun that they brought him back. Didn't expect too much from him anyway. Sean Hayes, was forgettable. It was an overall fun watch for me though.

As for Harvey in “You're Timeless to Me,” he and Martin Short were so endlessly charming together! That number was pure joy for me, much like it was when I saw Harvey and Dick Latessa do it together in the original Broadway production.
Harvey once said that his voice made his listener want to clear their own throats.
