What the hell is a christian movie?

There is a movie genre called "christian"? Really?
What about some atheist movies, then, just to keep the balance?

In general, "Christian" films tend to have themes involving faith and belief in God, the possibility of redemption, grace and salvation. As you may have noticed, the majority of films out there are not concerned much, if at all, with such themes. Many films might be considered "atheist" films becqause there does seem to be a preponderance of characters who do not believe in God (and say so). Atheism as a theme appears to be of little interest, probably because traditionally atheists have not, as a group, particularly cared what anyone else believes. Christians do, because sharing their belief is one of the main tenets of Christianity. In recent years, there has arisen a number of atheists who are well-known because of their near-evangelical zeal for attempting to convert believers into non-believers. In my humble opinion, characters like Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens and others are every bit as annoying as any evangelical Christian, if not more so. My attitude is if you believe, fine, that's your business. Don't try to convert me. And the same goes for atheism. If you don't believe, be content in your disbelief and don't try to convert me to your side either.

A Christian movie has a theme around Christianity and a message. An atheist movie would have a theme with a message about the merits of atheism.

A scifi movie is about science fiction. A romcom is a romantic comedy. An action film has... well, you get it.

Try to not be so defensive. Calling this a "Christian movie" isn't an insult. It's an awful movie on its cinematic merits, but that's not because of its genre.
