Cute Movie

I really liked the movie!! It was super cute and also had good life lessons. All in all one of the better Disney Channel Movies!!

Agreed. Also, I really like the protagonists' combustible start-up. Seems like those kind of pairs get along better later on.

It was cute. I was pleasantly surprised by it. It's one of the better DCOMs. I really liked when Jack allowed himself to soften as Ellie and enjoyed having a mom again. I also like when Ellie as Jack got to hang out with the guys and got to see what the guys said about the girls at school.

It was probably beyond the scope of the show but it would've been nice to see this embellished a little bit. Like seeing Jack as Ellie have girl to girl talks with Ellie's mom and seeing Ellie as Jack hang and talk with the guys more and get to understand the guys and how they think and feel.

I, too, was pleasantly surprised by it. Ended up being one of the more meaningful DCOMs--Lemonade Mouth, Invisible Sister anyone?

The weird thing is that NOTHING in this movie was groundbreaking or new for Disney. For instance, a lot of DCOMs feature a single parent, due to death or divorce. What surprised me is that those two concepts ended up being the main concepts of the film.

The parallels were really nice, especially in the exposition with the rides to school. I loved when Jack admitted he misses his mom and Ellie realized she's fine without her dad. Speaking of her dad, very un-Disney to have him not show up.

One of my few complaints would have to be: possibly one too many music montages. I swear they happened every 10 minutes.

I really enjoyed it too. Definitely one of my favorite DCOMs. One of the best ones of the last few ones. I didn't like Adventures in Babysitting, Invisible Sister, Bad Hair Day, How to Be a Better Boy, any of the last few ones...
