Body swap story about transgender

I know they couldn't do this on Disney but I think it would be interesting to have a male/female body swap story where one of them likes the new body they are in and doesn't wanna switch back.

Like if the boy decides he likes being a girl and they come to the realization that he's transgender and the body switch helps him deal with it and it turns out he likes dating boys etc. Of course they would have to change back in the end because it wouldn't be fair to the person who wants their body and their life back. But after they switch back at the end he now has the insight and the determination to be who he really feels that he is inside.

I had actually thought about doing a story like that where two people switch only to realize that they don't want to switch back. That or a story where they fail to switch back in time and then they have to deal with the fact that they are now in the wrong body forever and have to find some way to deal with that. But yeah I don't think they're going to have an overtly transgender themed movie on the Disney channel like that, it would be a body swap movie that is meant for teenagers or adults at the very least.

In the right hands I think it could work but him wanting to steal someone else's life is a very big obstacle if you're trying to keep him as a rootable figure. It's dishonest to try and live someone else's life. That's not a transgender statement it's like switching with a celeb and the normal guy tries to keep their life.

I guess you can start them as friends and he keeps pushing the envelope but I don't know how far you can go with it before he comes off as the villain.

Stokes, didn't you read my first post. I said that they would eventually have to switch back because it wouldn't be fair to the other person who doesn't want to stay switched.

It would have to be one of those things where at first the boy likes being the girl and doesn't want to change. The girl wants to switch back and has to convince the boy to help them switch back but she would do it in an understanding and helpful way and would help the boy understand that he could still be who he wants to be in his own body and she would help him have the courage to do that.

We're on the same page on how it would have to be done but it is that middle part of him running around in her life against her wishes that can make him unlikable.

I'm not saying it's insurmountable just that's the big obstacle that I see.

He wouldn't have to be unlikable. It could be like The Swap where there is something preventing them from switching that's beyond their control. And during that he could just say something like "What's so bad about staying the way we are?" And he would enjoy being in her body and he'd really get into being all girly.

BTW this thread seems like it might be a bit of wish fulfillment by the OP.

Technically in the Swap it was completely in

their control. They had to fix an aspect of their life to switch back. It might not be as big of an issue as I think though. The Hot Chick is the only one where I can think of where one of the swappees is preventing the switch.

There's several switch stories where the capability to switch is in their control once they change what needs to be changed or learn the lesson or secret that they're supposed to find out. It's often a quest of some sort to improve their life.
