Really surprised

This movie made me emotional as hell. From the trailers, I didn't expect the main point of the movie (other than the swap itself) to be dealing with the loss of parent. This was actually a good, heartfelt one. Disney did good, wish they'd given this even half the promo they gave the mess that was adventures in babysitting. This one actually deserved it.

But how can you prove for SURE that I don't go to Hogwarts??

Disney Channel used to put a lot more effort into their trailers. Look at the Geek Charming one from 2011:

From the trailer, you can tell it's going to get a little emotional--couldn't tell that from The Swap's trailer.

I loved it as well. It had the emotional feel that the older DCOM movies before the whole HSM era did. I also liked that it wasn't mostly focused on romance

I agree entirely, its production values and story say of that era of Double Teamed and Motocrossed.

What I liked the most was the fact that in the end Peyton Lists father did not come back and see the light nor did she make up with her BFF which violates two cardinal rules of DCOMS. The moral was that she dealt with that and moved forward.

I agree. I like that it wasn't all tied up in a nice pretty little bow at the end. I like that her dad didn't show up and that she didn't make up with Sassy but she dealt with it on her own.

I totally agree. It's easier for the audience to get emotionally involved in the story if the main characters don't become romantic.

I like how the high schoolers who like each other, Jack and Mack, got to know each over donuts with their friends around. Rather than going directly to a heavy kissing session like many movies do.

No two persons ever watch the same movie.
