What were those big birds?

I was wondering what were those kind of birds and are they common in Florida? I don’t think I’ve seen those before, marvelous birds.

Sandhill cranes, maybe?

Tony Montana, renowned ornithologist, calls them pelicans.

As mentioned above, they were definitely sand hill cranes. They are officially listed as ‘threatened’ in Florida although I believe they are reasonably common across other parts of their range.
