I would not assume that to be the case....Just because you work for or with your parent, sibling, spouse, etc does not mean the work is any less valid.

If nothing else, as they said on the episode, he is being groomed to take over the business, so it strikes me that he is doing actual tasks and not just gofor stuff.

I don't always pay the closest attention: what kind of business does the Bellas' mom own? And I wonder if it is profitable? She gave 20% of the business to her son in the last episode. I wonder what the tax implications of that are, if any?

She said she helps entrepreneurs in self made businesses .

I'm sure the money was started by the Bella's WWE money accumulated over the years whether they want to admit it or not.

I was thinking that as well. I bet the business is not all that lucrative - but building a business can take awhile.

I'm betting the business isn't worth all that much, which may mean that there is little or no tax burden on JJ for getting 20%. I think parents can give a child a gift of $14,000 without it being taxed.

I always love the title "consultant." It's such a BS title to sum up someone who has very little to offer a company but builds themselves up as being worth more than what they really are.
