Has it just about right.

"Hillary's America is repugnant, and while it exists to get people who stand against it yelled at as much as anything, it's essential that D'Souza not simply be written off as a hack pandering to a willing and lucrative audience regardless of the moral implications, though he is. D'Souza peddles the kind of “media” that's become cancerous to the country he unyieldingly purports to worship."

Would you elaborate a little more on this? What evidence is there that he's more than "a hack pandering to a willing and lucrative audience regardless of the moral implications"? I personally think he probably believed in his ideas at one time. At this point, I think he's just trying to cash in on whatever audience he can get.

Sorry, I forgot to provide the link to the review from which I quoted previously. Here it is: http://consequenceofsound.net/2016/07/film-review-hillarys-america/

In response to your post:

I hope that you're right and that D'Souza is just a hack. But Dominick Suzanne-Mayer is worried, justifiably, that D'Souza is participating in a "hack" of a different, more sinister sort. He and other conservatives have embarked on a revisionist history hack that claims (among other things) that, because the Democrats were the dominant party in the South when it seceded from the Union and afterwards when the South enacted the Jim Crow laws, that the Democrats must still be the party of segregation and enslavement. What these guys are ignoring is that, since the beginning of the Democratic/Republican party system, there has been several political re-alignments.

Absolutely correct, bayowolf. Conservatives love to ignore the "Southern Strategy" that brought the great majority of Southern Democrat racists into the Republican Party by the 1970s. Sometimes revisionist history is not about what history you point out, but what history you OMIT.

Thanks for the link. I thought the rest of that paragraph towards the end was really good:

"There is no dialogue, no other side of the story, no research. There’s little more than nonstop empty rage and a late call to action to agree with the film after it’s duly pummeled you into submission, and get out to those ballot boxes. The film never once offers solutions to any of its conundrums, or addresses the ostensible second option at the polls this year. It offers nothing more than loud noises and social flashpoints, letting an audience scream “NO!” at abortions and social change and “YES” at “America” and actively discourages any kind of critical thought along the way. It’s politics as a series of buzzwords, aimed squarely at an audience whose intelligence the film disrespects from start to finish."

That's the reason I think D'Souza is just a hack trying to milk the Republican base for whatever he can get while he can. I think he knows the Republican ship is sinking (even if Trump wins this year) so he can't make money with this kind of nonsense forever. He's too smart to really believe in it. See my review at the start of the "Republican KKK is okay?" thread for another approach to the film.

But if you want to see an attempt to present the film as factual, take a look at the "Dear Democrats" thread. The guy who started it makes a pretense of being factual because he totally ignores any historical context. As your reviewer said, "It’s politics as a series of buzzwords."

Not to worry--Trump will not be elected.

In 2012, this site correctly called every State...3 weeks before the election. In 2008, it nearly did the same thing but missed one State that went for Obama instead of McCain.

I hope they're right. The map makes it look like we might have congressional gridlock for awhile, though.
