Amazingly unimpressive...

Wow, the first episode was a real yawner. This looked like a redux of another Stephen King story woefully brought to the small screen as a series that was also a joke (literally), Under The Dumb.

Unsympathetic characters with way-too-much small town drama in their lives, a "threat" that showed no real menace aside from a few swarms of killer bugs, and trite and unimaginative scripting that was more yawn-inducing than thrill-generating.

To be fair, pilots of TV series can be a little rough sometimes, and a show might need a few episodes to get its momentum going, so I'll stick around for a few more episodes to see where The Mist goes, so to speak. But I'm not expecting much, to be honest.

The funny thing is that as bad as Under The Dome was, I think it was a little better than this show. Well, at least for now.

I saw the second and third episodes of this show and they are a little better but not by much. No doubt both shows feel cheap and the acting is bad, for the most part.

I think it's hard to bring Stephen King into a series. His stories have a beginning, middle and end, while TV producers want to make money and have their shows go on forever. It's hard to do that if they put all the thrills in the first episode.

Its been very weak so far, and I doubt it will get any better so I'm only giving it a couple of more episodes.
