Question? (spoilers)

I have been thinking an awful lot lately about violence in
the media, and the last episode of Chance had a monent
in it that made me kind of sick.

Where Winter meets this woman and takes her home to
have her walk into a dark room and step onto a plastic
tarp ... where Winter and the police captain? presumably
murder her.

What do people think about this, or do you? Is it such the
norm in movies and TV these days that about 1/2 of the
parts women have in movies are two play murder victims
or pretty corpses?

It just seems like a fetish now to make movies with this
kind of violence, but then pretend it is OK because this is
just what the bad guys do, and they are always apprehended
or killed in the end.

What do people think about this, and why is it so ubiquitious
in entertainment these days ... is this really entertaining.
What do little girls feel like growing up and seeing this all
their lives?
