My review: funny and fun!

I just got home from seeing Life of the Party at Landmark Cinemas. It was a lot of fun. The movie stars Melissa McCarthy as a middle aged wife and mother whose husband suddenly leaves her. She decides to go back to college and attends the same school as her daughter. Wacky shenanigans ensue. McCarthy does a great job here and the rest of the cast, including Gillian Jacobs, Debby Ryan, Maya Rudolph, and Julie Bowen, all have a lot of fun with their roles. The film was directed by McCarthy's real life hub, Ben Falcone, and I think is by far his best film. There are a lot of genuine laugh out loud moments and some nice, sweet moments too. If you are looking for an enjoyable, funny comedy, I would recommend Life of the Party. My rating is 8/10.

That sounds so amazing.
I am very excited to see this movie.
How does it end?

reply

It is better if you don't know how it ends. I don't want to give too much away.

I respect your choice.

I just got in from the theater myself...

It was somewhat typical, but it was endearing... I Liked it overall.

I was formulaic to be sure.....but hey, it's a good formula.

I'd give it a C+/B -

Not that funny imo but it had its moment its nothing great or original but not as terrible as some reviews make it sound.

reply

It was horrible.

Yeah quite fresh for a college comedy like this. I like that they didn't chicken out and she really banged the 20 yo college student.
