Piper was the best part of the FINDING DORY experience

Enjoyed FINDING DORY very much but can I say that I want to go back just to watch PIPER again! What an adorable and visually stunning little short. Pixar had been disappointing with their recent shorts but with this one they hit it out of the park. Amazing how much character and humor and heart there is in this short film and its unforgettable little heroine despite the short not having a word of dialogue. The scene of the stunned and a bit ruffled Piper after her first encounter with the surf was one of the funniest things ever. Hope this one gets the Academy Award.

Completely agree on Piper being a superb short film, but not all recent Pixar shorts are disappointing. Have you watched Sanjay's Super Team? It's the short that preceded The Good Dinosaur. TGD is such a mediocre film, but the short SST is one of my all-time favourites. Go check it out if you haven't watched it yet. I feel about SST the same way you feel about Piper in relation to Finding Dory: it was the only saving grace of The Good Dinosaur.

I actually saw THE GOOD DINOSAUR for the first time the week before FD came out because I was in an animation mood. I liked it. I definitely didn't find it as terrible as others have. I loved the relationship between Arlo and Spot. I did see SUPER TEAM as well and thought it was ok with a very nice story. It was good to see a Pixar short built around a culture and traditions that we haven't typically seen in films by Western film makers. The only thing I didn't like about it is that half of it was in that older animation style you see on TV. The animation itself was unimpressive as opposed to PIPER which blew me away with both the story and the animation style.

I couldn't agree more. While finding dory is an excellent film that I definitely recommend, I found pipers adorable storytelling, and outstanding animation even better.

Agreed, I liked Piper much more than Finding Dory.
