Riding so hard on the back of Kubrick

This sequel is way too complicated and confusing, opposite qualities to what helped make the original a classic movie. By the time the last half hour FINALLY rolls around, they must resort to going back to the Overlook Hotel, throwing in some of the same scares (with, yes, scenes from the original movie!) to try to gin up some excitement. Fail.
