Ridiculousness In Season 2, Episode 3...

Yes, I get it is probably dumb to actually critique this show and the plots considering that means I would be putting more energy into it than Tyler Perry clearly does but...

I made a running list of ridiculous things to point out as I viewed this week's installment "Blocked In"

Feel free to glance through my list (also feel free to add anything)

1. In the season premiere, the Sheriff told JB to drive himself over to jail because he had to question him about a whole bunch of stuff. The events in episode three are the same day as the premiere and the next morning and JB has not driven himself to jail at all. The Sheriff doesn't seem to be looking for him either.

2. This JB/Dax hotel room scene is so odd. Was JB looking for a hookup? He went from menacing to downright flirting/seducing and back to menacing during that scene.

3. Where the hell are Bonnie's two young children? We saw them in the pilot. We know Mac is Shelby's and Rebel is Annie's but those two young ones are Bonnie's and we haven't seen them at all.

4. Is Eli the girl's dad or not? I thought their father raped them (which brought about Mac and Rebel) and now he is out of prison. If that's true, why does Annie keep referring to him by name as opposed to saying daddy? Or is the father who raped them someone else and Eli just happens to be yet another town lowlife pedophile rapist?

5. How the hell did Dax know (a) that Yuri (secret service dude) was in Happy and that (b) the President called to speak to Annie? Dax was at Brody's house with Victor and Valerie when they whole thing happened with Yuri putting Annie on the phone with the President.

6. Nelson got an early discharge from the army (in Japan) and he is home now in Happy when he was just talking to his wife via facetime the previous day and said nothing about coming home. Really?

Now those are just a few things I thought of while watching this particular episode. I am amazed how this show just expects the audience to swallow all these inconsistencies and plot holes and be okay with it. Then again, as I said before, I am probably an idiot for giving this more thought than it deserves.

#2, I think JB was trying to get Dax to admit he was gay, then he would have a good reason (in his mind) to beat the *beep* out of Dax. Dax wasn't falling for it, knew he was in a homophobic town and wasn't going to admit or show he was gay or interested in any way. that was my take.

That makes as good a sense as anything.

#4, I'm sure Eli is the dad. why does she call him Eli and not daddy?!?! I'm sure she can think of a lot worse names to call him. many people in that situation or ANY kind of estranged relationship are not going to go around using terms like mommy or daddy or anything endearing. smh. she despises him.

#5, I don't remember any of that lol.

#6, didn't he say he wanted to surprise everybody?

and also, i really truly think this show gets WORSE with every episode. but still watching it for kicks.

4. Yeah, I guess so.

5. It was toward the end of the episode, before the First Lady confronted her husband about being in touch with Anna. Dax told her that Yuri was there and had the President on the phone with Anna.

6. Did he? Okay, fair enough

JB's behavior with Dax didn't even make sense to me. Why was he even fishing for Dax's sexuality to begin with? I'm not liking the gratuitous nature of some of these stories. Do we now watch JB and his cronies constantly beating up Dax and Victor for the sport of it? Previews seem to suggest exactly that.

In Season 2 Episode 2, Dax went to Annie at the trailer and asked her to take him to the airport. She told him during that conversation the the Secret Service guy was there and tried to get her to talk to the President on the phone.
