My wife and I watch both shows and I've bone to the conclusion that this is way more entertaining. Most of the characters on TIU are whiny and self absorbed. Here they're self absorbed and hilarious. What her best friend said last week about her birthday party " It's not about you " was so true to life. After a mediocre second episode, this show has come into its own. Too bad it won't be renewed but we'll enjoy it as long as it's on like they're enjoying life as long as they can on the show.

I watch this, not the other show. This show is more fun and upbeat. Of course one is geared towards the younger crowd.

I agree with the above two commentators. It is entertaining. There aren't many shows that can make me laugh but this show has got me laughing. I certainly hope it will be renewed.

One is a tv drama with some comic relief and the other is a and hour long tv sitcom that pretends to take place in Seattle and it's obviously nothing like what it's like to live here in a Seattle. At leas this is us has relatable character and issues a lot of people deal with and is on point with how hard it is to live in LA/Hollywood and in the Us being obese, a very close illustration of the hypocrisy the entertainment industry, and how out of tragedy people can overcome obstacles. Yes, both are purely for entertainment purposes and not documentaries or educational programs but it's like comparing apples to oranges!
