i don't watch Final Fantasy movies for its coherent or logical story, i watch them for the awesome CGI and crazy action scenes. While the CGI is undoubtedly amazing and at some scenes reach the photorealistic feel, the cinematography for the action scenes is just bad. Quick cuts, shaky cam, tons of distracting particles effects, i can't see or follow most of the action scenes, especially the final fight between Nyx and General Glaucus.

It was hard to follow a few action sequences. Sometimes it was a tornado of limbs and weapons and fire.

That's what a lot of old school gamers don't like about the games anymore.
The first many games was focused on story and character development, the past many years that stuff is all sacrificed all for just trying to have the best graphics.
