The Van is right outside the house lol
Right after the scene where the parents tell the kids the van was stolen and then Ray starts singing there is a cut scene and the van is right in front of a maroon car in front of their house.

shareGood eye. I DVR'd the episode while I was watching, so I'm gonna have to pay real close attention when I watch that part again...
But yeah, shortly before tonight's ep aired I thought, '"Thanksgiving" was one thing, but there's no way the show would go that dark (having the family van actually stolen) for a Christmas episode -- it'll turn out to be that Maya forgot where she parked or something like that.' That whole plot was a little confusing to me*, and I wonder if that was intentional -- this family's life is so chaotic already, and the holiday hustle-and-bustle just compounds things further... Maybe the DiMeos' New Year's resolution should be to get a little more organized, or at least start writing stuff down!
Loved where Jimmy had to get JJ's motorized wheelchair to school by riding it there. When the bus refuses to give him (and the chair) a lift: "Merry Christmas. Enjoy Hell!"
* Never mind all the particulars about how the characters are getting around everywhere without the van -- since when does Dylan go to the orthodontist? I wonder if, like myself, maybe she used to have braces but now uses a retainer that gets checked only every few months or so... (Or maybe she's about to get braces -- getting her mouth x-rayed, having spacers put in or whatever.) As for JJ's broken tooth from "Sled Hockey" already being fixed, I'm guessing this episode may have been filmed before that one and was thus probably originally intended to take place first; otherwise, I suppose Jimmy could've called in a favor from his dentist brother, Billy...

Oh dam I wish I had spotted that.
Lose the Game!!!!!!!
It is too bad the new van wasn't kept.
shareDamit I wish they had done that, dam tv shows with a moral message.
Lose the Game!!!!!!!
It seemed of out of character for them to not keep the new van.
shareThey know JJ's physically capable of driving and he can reach the front seat of the new one in his wheelchair.
The old van was "miraculously found unharmed" and will be donated.
