Hate to say it but S2 is pretty lame

Tonal shift is just way too toyetic. Fitst season felt like it was for kids and watchers of the original series back in the day. Now it seems like the goofiness is not counterbalanced enough.

I like the darker turn. It adds more depth to the Paladin characters and shows they're not afraid to be for more of a varied audience. The original series was good for its time but watching it today, it's hard to avoid how cheesy it was. The reboot is interesting and I actually think it improved in season 2. Plus, they are moving the story more towards how it was in the original, character wise. With Shiro missing, Keith will likely take over the black lion and the classic lineup of Paladins will be restored.

Victims, aren't we all?

Darker? S2 is practically giddy? I wish it WAS darker than S1. Actually, i take that back. I just wish the stories were less juvenile and slap-sticky. The serious parts of S2 were decent enough but the eps mostly felt too similar. I don't mind some comedy, but every time Coran spoke i wanted to turn off the show and often found myself doing just that only to soldier on in spite of his voice.
