Amazing movie!

I watched this movie today, and absolutely loved it. The story of a woman who with her own deficiencies finds herself attracted to a creature not only out of curiosity, but empathy, understanding, and compassion. Substitute "creature" for anyone different and you get the message. There were those who were out to destroy their relationship and others who agreed with her and tried to help, Jenkins for instance. Ultimately love won. I haven't cried at the end of a movie in a long time. Tears of joy.

Haven't seen it yet, but when it hits Netflix I will. The trailer looked good.

I don't understand all the outrage about it. From what I understand, it's about exactly what you said, and for god's sake, it's scifi and a metaphor.

When you see it let us know if you liked it.

Finally saw it a week or so ago.

Visually stunning, innovative story line, excellent acting, and I was surprised by the amount of comedy in it. Now that I've seen it, I'm more baffled than ever by the outrage some folks evidenced.

A number of the characters were cartoony, but then that was part of the comedic element.

Crazy woman commits bestiality, theft, negligent apartment damage, gets roommates cat killed, breaks all sorts of Federal laws, NDA's and insubordination and gets away with it....all for her selfish whim.

Replace the female lead character with a man and the "helpless" creature with a vaginal opening and see if you still love it.

Bwahahahaha! Surely you didn't see the same film.

I'm sure he did, he just failed to mention that this complete dog of a film failed in almost every aspect aside from the aesthetics!
