Okay, I must have missed something... (spoilers)

I get that Alex used the car accident as the explanation for his disfigurement... but then, how DID he become disfigured?? Did his daughter attack him (hence his "f-ing b-tch" remark in the car)? If so, how the hell was she able to do so much damage? Did she knock him out and then go to work on him?
Sorry if I'm asking a dumb question.

reply

It didn't really say how she was able to cause so much damage to him but yes, the daughter did it so he hit the truck head on to cover it up.

Thanks, violet75.
Just one more "fill-in-the-blanks" parts to the movie.

I think the idea is that she attacked him and sliced up his face. He loses it, realized that he can't just go to the hospital saying my daughter just attacked me. So he gets into his car and causes the accident so that he'll have an excuse for his face being all cut up.

reply

Yes, I deduced that much. But HOW was she able to do so much damage? The level of pre-transplant disfigurement that I was able to discern through all the blood seemed about equivalent to that kid who blew his face off with a shotgun after (he claimed) listening to Judas Priest. Not to mention that Alex would have been in shock, most likely unable to even stand, let alone drive a car.

reply

yeah I wondered how she could have sliced him up that good, thought she might have drugged him or something but then he wouldn't have been able to drive off ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
