Cast is all way too old

You've got a bunch of actors in their 30's and 40's, playing a cast of characters that are mostly in their early to mid-20's. Doug Kenny died at 33, and he's being portrayed by an actor in his late 40's? I know people take better care of their appearances now than they used to, but still, isn't that pushing it a bit?
