Not very good

Just watched it, it started out semi-promising, but halfway through it, I realised this movie felt nothing like a Children of the Corn movie, instead the script could have originally been about a mother and her child escaping from her psycho partner who tracks her down and kills anyone who gets close to her or the kid, until they slightly reworked it to be a Children of the Corn movie. There's more kids in this one than the last one, but they barely do anything and have no lines. I think 2 people are killed on screen. The rest is off-screen. The actual end of the movie should have been the entire movie. Wasn't expecting much, but the plot made me intrigued. However, the film start to bore me about halfway through. It had potential but it just doesn't seem like they know how to make a good Children of the Corn movie anymore.
