Heres an idea: Get rid of shoes and e-cigs

They are prisoners with no expectation of anything other than their constitutional rights.

Seems like implementing these two policies will solve a lot of issues.

I know. It sounds harsh, but damn... you're in JAIL, alright? Food, a place to sleep, and running water. That's ALL they should get.

Oh, I also think they should all get some exercise time (in fact, MANDATORY exercise time). Exercise can relieve a lot of pent up frustration and tensions.

Like some other people said at the bottom of this thread, most of the people in there are technically, and legally, still innocent of the crime they're being charged with. That's why they're in a jail instead of a prison.

That's also why they get more leeway and comforts; because as far as the state is concerned, they're not prisoners yet and they haven't been convicted of a crime (yet). That's why jails are different; you can't just treat innocent people like convicts.

What if you guys were falsely accused and/or charged with a crime? What if you had to spend months in jail? Don't you think you still deserve a little more respect and comfort than people who have actually been proven guilty and convicted?

You are both falling into the common trap of short-sightedness. If you treat a person like they are garbage and give them nothing to lose, how do you think they are going to act back to you? If I have nothing, I am going to be much more likely to push back when given an order or command, and in case you didn't notice, there were a lot more inmates in those pods than corrections officers outside right outside of them.

^^That, and they need to be outside for at least an hour a day. You can't just keep someone indoors 24/7. That's ridiculous and inhumane!

Damn, both of you are pieces of scat.

Must be. Criminals should be punished for crimes, not be given all sorts of perks.

This a Jail Not a prison, not all the inmates have been convicted of a felony. Some could very well be as innocent as the cast of the show.

I was just about to say that. I think some people that watch this show believes all of the inmates are convicted. Most of these people either cannot afford bail, bail wasn't offered, or have not been in court yet and they are still waiting. You guys are thinking of the State Penitentiary. If this show was based on the "Pen' people would not volunteer to be housed with people serving life sentences.
