Post here - ONLY if you have seen the film

How many of you have seen the film?

I saw it yesterday - 2 times in a row.
Friend and I went to 11 AM showing and stayed for the 1:15 PM showing because Bigtree, Wakefield and 3 others were having a Q&A afterwards.

Beautiful day in Chicago.

Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe

The 11 AM show was sparse - about 25 people
The 1:15 PM show was a full house.

My friend was surprised that it was not anti-vaxx as she had been led to believe.
It raised awareness that the CDC, etc are not doing more to ensure vaccine safety.
It did accuse the CDC of fraud, obstruction of justice and destruction of documents and demanded that Thompson the Whistleblower be subpoenaed to testify on what he knew.
So far that has not been done.

How was the Q&A? I saw the film in New York the first week it released. I didn't see it on the days where there was Q&A afterwards but I would have liked to.

Interesting.
There was Wakefield, Dr. Toni Bark, Bigtree, a woman from the film with an autistic child, and another woman from the movie - an African-American Pediatrician who went from pro-vaxx to anti-vaxx during her time as a ped. Funny lady. She was asked if there were repercussions about her attitude of anti-vaxx. She said not to her - since she has a private practice with her brother so it's not like she could get fired - but other docs were getting flak. She lets parents make up their own mind, If they want the vaccination, ok. If they don't, she's ok with that.

The persons with injured children were asked to stand up and Wakefield said wow - that is the lowest number he's seen (from previous screenings). One person asked Bigtree that he had heard rumors that Thompson would recant his testimony. Bigtree said that he had also heard the same rumors. Couldn't hear his full answer.....

The 4 PM show was starting so all had to move out to the lobby - where questions continued, selfies were taken, etc.

My friend (who has a child with PANDAS) asked Dr. Toni Bark a question about antibiotics that had been mentioned in the film. Turns out that Dr. Bark is an expert in Pandas and gave my friend a card and told her to call anytime.

My friend was shocked that Andy Wakefield did not look like the crazy mad lunatic that she had been hearing about and imagined.
My friend also said the documentary was better than she had expected.

Interesting morning.
It's an eclectic area and good for sightseeing.
So if you live close by, it's not a loss.

Given the massive amounts of data being accumulated about the harmful effects of the MMR vaccine and the existing vaccination schedule, it soon won't matter whether Thompson recants anything or not. The primary focus of his testimony is the documentation of the cravenness of the CDC and Gerberding in trying to cover up or misrepresent that data.

What is it about Gerbering?
Are CDC officials appointed by the govt?
Did Obama fire her in 2008?

She is now working for Merck:

From Wiki: In late 2009, Gerberding became president of Merck's vaccines division.
Julie L. Gerberding sold 38,368 shares of her Merck stock on the open market in a transaction dated Friday, May 8th. The stock was sold at an average price of $60.99, for a total transaction of $2,340,064.32. Following the sale, the executive vice president now directly owns 31,985 shares of the company’s stock, currently valued at approximately $1,950,765.15.
