I thought it was odd when she referred to her as safe, after hearing about her sleeping with 2 tinder matches recently. I did feel the ending was a bit weird, with her in bed swiping almost obsessively. Maybe that's the point - she's looking for the next match
I don't think that's necessarily the kind of 'safe' they were talking about. My interpretation was that by safe, they meant it was someone they knew, someone they felt comfortable with. The familiarity means they wouldn't be as nervous, or second guessing. They meant emotionally safe.
