Yeah this show is in no way shape or form on the level of Parenthood. Not sure why people were saying this was the show for us missing Parenthood.
shareThe comparison exists because it was NBC's highest rated scripted show in that time slot since Parenthood in 2010.
It also got picked up for a full season earlier today...

..This is Us is a great show, and yes it's realistic. Nothing is forced or "cheesey". The kitchen scene with Randall's wife and his dad was just solid.

Im liking it but not loving it yet. It might grow on me. Some of it is a little too "in your face"---the kitchen scene when the triplets were kids seemed forced, like lets show all these quick shots of old cereal, and old lunch boxes, otherwise you might not know its their childhood and its a long time ago!!
shareNCIS is one the highest rated shows on TV at the moment and I have never seen it's appeal. I have tried several times to watch and all the story lines put me to sleep. Yet, I love other procedural shows. For whatever reason, that show just does not click with me. It's just the way it goes sometimes.
If THIS IS US is not clicking for you, move on. It's that simple.
