You mean to tell me...

That at this fat farm, where people come to change their lives they have some maintenance guy (forgot his name because I hoped he wouldn't show up as often as he has) going around propositioning women while also telling them to give up trying to lose weight because they will never change?

What the hell kind of place is this? There'd be no dilemma for me if I were Kate, I'd record the idiot and report him to management. I mean if he wants to sleep with her, it's messed up but whatever, men do that type of thing all the time. But to intentionally discourage her, AT the fat farm, wth? Kate's self-esteem is low, but hopefully not low enough to roll around with a dude who's trying to keep her down and ruin her relationship. Ew.

reply

Calling the place a fat farm could also be considered to be discouraging. But I somewhat agree.

reply

Noted. It's just that Kate called it that herself when it was suggested. If there's an updated, more PC name for it like 'wellness center' or something I'm down to call it that.

reply

Haha yes she did. I'm sure that character (Buck or Dale- I can't remember his name either and I JUST watched the episode) is in the show for a reason and I'm sure they are trying to make him unlikable. But if Kate ends up going through with meeting him in cabin 13, we will end up not liking her much since she will have chosen to cheat on her fiancΓ© with such a jerk. Maybe they are going to break up Kate and toby and need are catalyst for that?

reply

Yeah. I could see it going either way. The fact that Kate has struggled with weight all her life means that she has anxiety and self-sabotaging issues, so it would make sense for her to sabotage her relationship with a needy but otherwise good guy. Toby irritates me with his excessive joking but, I'd still hate to see that happen.

On the other hand, I feel like she might go to his cabin for the sole purpose of telling him off. I am hoping for the latter.

reply

That's what I was thinking. She seems like she will let him have it instead of cheating . I find toby annoying but they seem good for eachother.

reply

We'll see if we're correct! Meet you here next Tuesday for the last time :(

reply

I'll be here! I'm hoping they will reconsider after the huge outcry from everyone.

reply

I hope so as well. I just don't see the point of IMDB without the message boards! Wiki has most of the same info and with fewer clicks to get to what you want to see! But I do understand somewhat because it really gets nasty on these boards. *Sigh*

reply

Duke is his name, and I want to slap the crap outta him! Which is hard for me, because he's so lovable on Longmire. :(

reply

Lol, complete opposite on Longmire.

reply

Oh my gosh I didn't realize that was him!

reply

Where can you watch Longmire these days?

Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

reply

Season 5 premiered this past Sept on Netflix. It was renewed for one final season, coming sometime this year. ;)

reply

Thanks! Still bummed that it was canceled on broadcast TV. Another reason to join Netflix.

Reporting him to management would not do any good. His parents own the Fat Farm.

reply

Are his parents aware that their son is ruining their business especially since he said that he hits on women frequently.

reply

I was just repeating what the jerk said. Actually if they were good parents and good business people, they'd fire his ass. However, since they have not done so already, I assume they're neither.

Btw, what did you think of the season finale?

reply

The jerk's parents wouldn't know what's going on unless the women were reporting it. Maybe embarrassed or flattered by the jerk's attention.

I enjoyed the episode. The argument was so intense. Great acting! I thought he was going to die while drunk driving. I was expecting a reveal on how Jack died.

reply

Precisely. That's what everybody thought, and they pulled a fast one on us. We'll have to wait until next season. I enjoyed the episode also.

reply

The doc called it an "immersive weight loss experience." ;)

reply

Well Tiffany doesn't work there though...

reply

That dude is creepy and I wouldn't be surprised if he had assaulted multiple women. I don't understand why they would have such an obviously creepy character like that on the show. Like Toby is low-key creepy and clingy, and I get it. But this guy? If anyone approached you like that in any social situation? Especially for an experience in which you've likely spent thousands of dollars on, and he works for the place, you would automatically report him. If it's supposed to come across as tempting for Kate, then they are getting it all wrong.

reply

I wonder if it's gonna turn out that he thinks the women that go there are rich and he's hitting on her to con her in some way.
