I am surprised AMC would allow Norman to do this Series

Mainly because he is one of the main guys on TWD and given the liability involved in this series associated with Motorbikes and the other events he is doing along the way. I like this show and find it interesting and I realize AMC is continuing to maximizing Norman's star power, I am just surprised that they would allow a series in which one of their main stars on their signature series may get hurt. It just goes to show how Norman's star power has been elevated since he has been on TWD.

Just think about the amount of insurance they have on him.

One thing to think about is: The camera truck is right behind them when they're on the road. That definitely helps the safety of Norman and his fellow rider(s).

I think he barely rides. Just short stretches here and there on pretty empty roads. I'm very familiar with Death Valley. They filmed in Winter and it's pretty empty.
When in cities or speeding in the desert, I think it wasn't him. The show is interesting because of the people he meets but I guess he did very little actual riding and a lot of travel by car and plane.

Norman rides everywhere all the time when he isn't filming The Walking Dead. Why not film him having fun with his buddies? This is a great show, I'm really enjoying his rides.

They have stunt and safety on him at all times. Mostly closed roads, protected.

The guy rides in real life, no more a risk then him filming a movie or riding home on dark GA roads.

The accident that nearly killed him... He was a passenger in a hired car!

Does no one think he and the TWD viewers got this show as a consolation for his [probably] dying in the last TWD cliffhanger? We'll know when the first episode of the new season airs, but that was the first thing that occurred to me when Ride was announced. To cushion the blow of his loss for the Daryl fanatics.

Actually, if he were a little younger, he might be good in a remake of the 1969 TV Series "Then Came Bronson." He's much better with a professional script.

Maybe he met Lucille and it doesn't matter anymore?
