Not Funny

Maya and Marty are super-talented but the show is pretty lame so far. Jimmy Fallon and Martin Short were given pretty bad material

reply

Agreed. I hope it improves.

Oh boy...first skit was not just un-funny, it was kinda uncomfortable. The Jiminy/ Larry thing was only funny to them. My wife said I looked like I was watching the news. Put your best material first??...hope not for their sake...

reply

only funny to them? speak for yourself. I think it's funny when people talk for other people

I had a strong feeling this wouldn't be funny, and I was right. It's sad; each of these comedians is funny under certain circumstances, but not as writers of an original show, I'm afraid. They should have taken a cue from Neil Patrick Harris - some people miss the old-style variety shows, but even the most talented people can't pull it off these days, and these two people are certainly not an exception. Sad for them. (How much did they have to pay that live audience to guffaw at every little thing? Ridiculous.)

omg, LOL, I was thinking they were using a pre-recorded "laugh track" thing. No way everybody could have been laughing that hard at every little line.

The reason I can't stand most TV comedies. Yes, it's nice when they have a live audience, but when they find every single line funny ... so unrealistic, and it totally turns me off. We are not machines!

I was really looking forward to it but we only made it through 4 skits. The Tom Hanks one was a little funny but then it went downhill fast. I'm assuming they would air some of the funniest skits in the first episode but I hope for their sake, that wasn't their best.

You didn't think the segment with Larry David was funny? Clearly, Larry David thought it was hilarious.

I also thought Miley Cyrus was great. And I don't normally like her.
