Yes, I could see that they were trying to do a variety show. The big difference was that the old variety shows tended to be funny. This was not. It was very stale. Honestly, it looked more like they were making fun of variety shows that were more entertaining than them. I switched to the reboot of To Tell the Truth. It was better.

Go re-watch some old comedy shows with a new point of reference. I think we all don't realize what we have now.

With the exception of Carol Burnett, that lady is still funny today as when I was a kid watching her show.

I am 49-years-old. I do not have to watch them for a point of reference. I know what they were like. This was awful.
