APB stands for all points bullet but how does that tie into this show and when and how do they explain the title

*Bulletin
It's like when they announce something important over the radio. Example: "all points bulletin; high speed chase on the 10 freeway"
or something like that.

the new methods used in the show are linked to an app called, APB -- hence the title of the show,

no explanation on why the app within the show is called that, however.

Maybe b/c it's used to call in (or computer tag in) the location of a crime in progress.
