I'm sorry....

but after so much great talent that's involved in this show, and I have loved the cartoon and live tv show of the past, but this show is just terrible. The costumes are terrible, the story is terrible.

I overall agree. I never seen the Tick be this bad and this boring. Its like they just wanted a Batman clone with bad jokes.

I agree...the show is awful...id rather rewatch the first live action and cartoon

This crap is all over the place....melodramatic bs

It's interesting because when I rewatched Tick 2001 just after the Pilot, i seemed to like Tick 2016 more.

I agree. Not even close. A lot of great elements adding up to not much.I was actually surprised with all the talent involved.

I think it has potential and hope they can work out the bugs. (See what I did there?)

First, the elephant in the room. For many people, Patrick Warburton is the Tick and it will be nigh impossible to replace him because he played him so perfectly in the other live version. Warburton played him without all the self awareness that every superhero seems to need these days. Sure, he was bulletproof, but he seemed aloof about it instead of laughing maniacally. Less Deadpool, more clueless.

That being said, the writing and casting for everyone else is spot on. Nothing against Peter S, but he just isn't the Tick. Maybe re-cast him as a different character.

The other thing i loved about the '90s live version was that the Tick was the only true superhero. Everyone else was just a bunch of nutballs in silly outfits. It added to the charm of this world they lived in where normal people mostly ignored the Tick because they were used to seeing these weirdos on a daily basis.

Oh, and bring back Warburton's antennas. Those were a character all by themselves.
