Turns out the film is based on a real person who stole millions from his fans. I saw an ep of American Greed about him.

No, this was not a great film. It also was not a terrible film. It had lots of laughs. It was interesting and fun. Every f'ing movie isn't going to be "Citizen Kane", so relax and learn to be entertained.

Learn to be entertained? No need for condescension. I agree, not every film is the at level of Citizen Kane. Hence the low rating.
