This is going to sound dumb, but....was it too short?

Yeah, a movie like this being longer sounds like torture, but....everything happened so quickly. She accepts the kid too quickly, the test results come too quickly, the kid turns murder-loon too quickly....it's all too quick.

Maybe not make the film longer, but just find some way to show more passage of time; the way the film feels, it's as if this all takes place in two weeks at the most (THE MOST) when in reality things like this would at least go on maybe....a month or two.

Meanwhile, that kid....sheesh....he wasn't bad, but.....It's like the more villainous he got the more camp he got. I was expecting the ultimate reveal-to-the-hero to involve a silk cape and a grand organ....
