I don't trust Sandler.

Even when he is honestly trying to do good, like work with Thomas McCarthy and Jason Reitman, both respected filmmakers, the films end up being the worst of their careers, though McCarthy is lucky to have Spotlight. I think Sandler has a curse of suckage that follows him everywhere.

Adam Sandler is perfectly fine, and actually pretty damn good at times, when he doesn't have creative control over the movie. Punch Drunk Love alone is proof of this.

I've never seen an Adam Sandler movie that I didn't enjoy. I'm not some snob that sees films as some high form of art to be judged harshly. If I can sit on my couch for an hour and a half and enjoy the movie, it's a good movie.

This one was no exception.

I'm not a fan of Sandler but he can be good and here he was really good. He should stop making those awful comedies and stick to movies like this.

A “curse of suckage”? I’m not sure I agree. A box office flop doesn’t need necessarily mean the actual movie was bad— and I think a lot of Sandler’s negative publicity has had to do with box office “failures.”

I thought he did a good job in The Meyerowitz Stories. I didn’t feel like I was watching “Adam Sandler”... nor Adam Sandler trying not to be Adam Sandler, if you know what I mean. I liked his character a lot.

I enjoyed this film.. although I think the first act which focused on him was the weakest.

As for his other films, I liked Little Nicky, Anger Management and Click but there is no denying, he has made some truly atrocious movies!
