My mother is a unionized public school teacher, my dad was a former member of a public school board, and I graduated from a public school, and all three of us got far better service from teachers who would have never treated anyone like that. This is appalling. Unilaterally appointing a room parent and demanding this out of them is ridiculous. What does she do? Parents have jobs!
shareEspecially a kindergarten teacher. Their is something truly special about them. You also cannot kick a child out of your class.
The show is actually funny. I like the Kevin Neelan role. I wish they would do some more with the actual children. The interaction with Leblanc and the kids is pretty organic and more believable than the teacher/wife.
I thought room parents took turns, instead of relegating the task to just one, all the time. BTW, if one parent should be it, it ought to be the effete, man, who needs a strong male influence in his life, after all he doesn't have a full time job, like 'Adam' who is a construction worker.

shareWhile I agree the teacher is horrible, she's only that way because the writers made her that way. They've made her a vindictive a-hole, when they could have made her clever and a skilled manipulator. I'm not really enjoying the scenes with a grown man being blackmailed into doing things against his will because a public employee is abusing her position. If I want that, I can watch some misery porn on HBO.
