Ok I watched. It was about using metal detectors. Oddly enough in this hobby of theirs they have recovered over $40,000.00 dollars worth of gold. That's more than either BDW (so far...lol) or TCOOI. Mostly they come up with junk including nails, a shovel head, a Union belt buckle, nuggets of gold including one piece that weighed in at 4 ounces. They begin their search in libraries looking for old home sites and prospector camps and then they go out in the field. They were mostly searching around the Sierra Nevadas near Sacramento, CA which used to be gold rush country. Well, hats off to them. By the looks of it they have been pretty successful and haven't needed millions of dollars worth of investments, heavy duty equipment (metal detectors run a range generally between $25-$10,000) and say their joy is just getting out in the scenery and listening to the shrill of the detector telling them to dig in that spot. A great amateur way to go treasure hunting and (lol) bring in more than the fancy shows on tv.
