Why did the Nightengale originally stop killing after Frank died?

That is the question to solve the case.

I'm guessing in the original timeline when Frank dies, the man who plays the Nightingale has an accident goes to the hospital and given the wrong medication in which he dies. But in the new timeline Julie becomes the Nightingale's nurse and gives him the correct medication and thus stopping his demise.

You're thinking of the movie from 2000.

In the TV show, The Nightingale plays a medical professional who spots his first victim in the elevator in the first timeline, then Julie in the second one when she agrees to make a delivery.

Did anyone else die in the shootout the night Frank was supposed to die? Maybe that guy was the Nightingale.

I'm not sure if I am right, but didn't they save like 2 people from the 90s??? Since he didn't kill them in the 90s, he targeted them no in the present.

Ooo I forgot about that...interesting

Dark Stefan, may I have this dance?

reply

I don't think he stopped killing, he just didn't kill her mother.

I think I might have figured that out from the last episode. Remember at the beginning when Robbie is taken to the hospital and the nurse in passing tells Raimy his file had the wrong blood type on it ? The fake identity that he took up had a different blood type. I bet something happened to him at some point after Frank "died" and because he didn't Julie wasn't in mourning so she was at the hospital to realize they had the wrong blood and saved his life.

reply

Or perhaps in the O.G. timeline Nightingale never saw Julie at the hospital so he started following a different nurse and he got in an accident following her and whatever hospital he was taken to then gave him the wrong blood type and he died. And since Frank survived, he saw Julie in the hospital and started following her instead and never arrived where he would have gotten in the accident. But either way I think the wrong blood type in his fake identity is the reason he died.

reply

I don't think he did stopped killing. I thought in the first episode, when Raimy learned her mother was dead, she walked into a room at the Police Dept. that showed all the women he had killed, past and more recently.

reply

Yeah, but that's in the new timeline, we were talking about the original timeline where Frank died, and the Nightingale went silent for 20+ years. In this one Frank survived, and the Nightingale kept killing.

reply

Sorry, should have read it a little more thoroughly.

This is confusing. So in one timeline (the original?) Robbie does not become the Nightingale? Otherwise, he'd have no reason to change his identity to hide from the Deacon, and have the mixup with the blood type.

reply

Robbie was always the nightingale. he didn't hide from the Deacon, he was hiding from the cops.

Raimey saved her dad temporarily is what changed the original time line which resulted in her mom being killed.
