Julie as a doctor meeting Raimy's fiance

I mentioned this in another post. It doesn't make sense, Daniel probably wouldn't have been in her orbit since she is a doctor now and being a doctor she may not have been in the same places if she were still a nurse. I was hoping that the last scene would show her fiancé to be the detective she seemed to have genuine feelings for. It was hard to root for her and Daniel after he had another woman he cheated on for Raimy. I personally never felt a connection between Raimy and Daniel since the beginning.

Why is it sloppy writing and what does it have to do with Daniel having a possible cancer scare? Dr's have wide social and professional circles and anyone in Daniel's family could have known Julie.

It was mentioned a number of time the branches grow back so it's very possible she would always find a way to Daniel.
