This is a new series, first episode 28 Aug 2016.
Why has it been kept in a drawer since at least 2011.
Or at least if not, how did they manage to get the late Roy Barraclough involved, after being dead for 5 years (no disrespect intended).

How did they get Mr. Granger involved-the character had left long before 1988?

Mr Grainger returned from retirement (to spend less time with Mrs Grainger).

Roy Barraclough captured Mr Grainger very well... top actor.

i don't know, but i wish they'd kept it in a drawer, preferably a deep one.
