Confused about the ending.

I'm sure some stuff will be cleared up next season. But I was pretty confused about the nail that Charlie found at the end and then said 'Fonso'. I know he had been having visions of the nail, but what was the significance?

On episode one, Fonso told Charlie a story about the Gypsies stealing a nail that was meant to be hammered into Jesus on the cross or something. Apparently as a reward of sorts, God made it okay for Gypsies to steal and con people, as long as it's not from each other Gypsies.

I'm guessing the nail is Fonso's way of letting Charlie and Linda know that he knew about their plan, and they're in big trouble. Only reason he didn't stop them from stealing and doing the magic show is because he wanted white Tony dead, and this gave him the perfect opportunity. It also allowed Fonso to indirectly steal from other gypsies during the robbery, since technically it was Eduardo doing the stealing. My guess is they're going to split the loot. So in that case the nail could also be seen as a "thank you" of sorts to Charlie?

I'm more confused by the fact that white Tony and every one just let Charlie and Linda walk out after the robbery...They just did a magic trick where Tony's cousin comes out of a coffin dead! Why would Tony just ignore that and ask "who did this ?!?"
Well obviously the two MAGICIANS did it. Man, that was so incredibly stupid. Not just Tony being oblivious to who did it, but the fact they did the coffin trick to begin with. They should have been called out and killed on the spot. It was just a pointless and terrible idea on their behalf, and all it did was make them look like the killers, in a room full of hundreds of people. It's so stupid I don't know how they're even going to explain it in season 2. Even more stupid because they can't just skip town since their son is technically involved in an ongoing murder investigation(it'll just raise suspicion), and they can't stay where they are because how on Earth would they defend themselves from the police when they knock on their door and ask why their magic trick involved a dead body?!

Yea the part where they walked out was weird. But I think the nail was letting them know he knew. But also they found the body of white Tony's cousin and could have had Fonso locked up. And Fonso got what he wanted tony dead, his daughter free, his mom gone, and being able to steal from the other gypses so I'm going to take it that him letting them have the money was his way of saying I know what you did but it's gonna slide because it was worth letting the money go to have the other stuff.

They're not gonna pay any of that off. If it doesn't hurt the numbers, tv will only get more stupid and illogical. Too bad these boards won't be around to comment on it.

The ending made no sense, so the drug dealer and the Fonso were working together the whole time?

That was the "big twist" alright. Kinda cool. You can see how Eduardo manipulated Charlie into going for something really big and he just sat back and waited for it all to fall into his -- and Fonso's -- laps.

(I was waiting to see if maybe Ted had pulled a fast one, or maybe Terry and Sylvia. But it turned out to be Eduardo.)
