So tired of all the haters!

If you hate a show so much then please just stay away from message boards!

reply

Same. I wonder how long it will take them to get over the fact that they didn't like the first episode of some random series on a broadcast channel. If they watched it and they think its terrible, okay, if they want, they should post their opinion here ONCE, but what's point of constantly nagging the show on the boards?

They keep saying it's garbage, awful etc in every single comment and they won't leave the boards and the fans who actually love the show alone. I mean, come on, lol.

Can't they just say they hated the premiere and just go away...

reply

I know everyone is entitled to their own opinion but why not just keep it to yourself? I mean if don't like a show i stay off the message boards.

reply

Well, you really shouldn't. Letting people know a show is good or bad is what this site is all about. I agree that you should not bang on about it and keep coming back and haunting a forum but a review and one or two comebacks are fine in most people's books.

reply

If they want to come on and say they didn't like the show that's fine, i guess i just get tired of the whole "it's garbage" stuff, ya know?

reply

not everyone wishes to live in a little bubble of flowers and sunshine like you want to.

To tear something apart or watching campy horribly written tripe can be entertaining to some.

if you cant accept criticism of something perhaps your opinion is weak and you dont want it to change.

But regardless, who are you to tell people what to say or where to go? To me this is akin to censorship. So check your privileged at the door here.

_______________I GOT NOTHING_______________

reply

That was the stupidest reply ever! Who ever said anything about living in a bubble of flowers and sunshine? Which obviously is not possible due to people like you! People take everything waaay overboard, i have said countless times that can have their own opinions, they don't have to like the show, i just get tired of hearing about how it's garbage and how much they hate it. Go take your censorship and sit on it!!!

reply

"Who ever said anything about living in a bubble of flowers"

well not you as i was replying to someone else there. But this is exactly what they stated. They do not want any dissenting voice saying anything other than accolades for their fan picks. See if it actually was good it could stand the scrutiny.

Wishing people would not say anything negative is censorship, plain and simple.

There's a very big diff between negative/constructive criticism and pointless whining and bashing. The vast majority of IMDb users are more than fine with the first and are sick and tired of the second.

That, essentially, is what I think the OP and subsequent posters are trying to get at, and not "unicorn and rainbow bubbles and censorship".

Ignorance is bliss... 'til it posts on the Internet, then, it's annoying.

reply

they intended to make you upset.
that makes them smile and feel good.
you just gave them what they wanted...
Disliked the show, but i dont feel the need to say anything about it or post it. makes no sense to me.

So there's no room for criticism anywhere all about anything in life ever?

Got it, you're all children.

That rug really tied the room together.

reply

we have different idea of what a "critic" is :)
ans i wish i could turn back time about 35 years and be a "children" .

People don't have to call a show garbage or horrible, a simple i didn't like it would do. I would read that and be fine with it.

reply

... but it's garbage. It's voraciously vile and vapid.

This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition.

The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous.

reply

lol....you like the letter 'V' !! Or would it be more apt to say 'V' words ? Thanks for the very vivid visual!!

@eTOLLE

Ha ha ha! Love all the alliterations in your post---clever as hell, and funny! Lol!
I actually missed the pilot of this show (and a couple of others I wanted to see because I was watching other shows on at the same time) but I will be trying to catch it next week, mainly because of Daniel Sunjata---just saw him playing a policeman on a recent show I liked---can't recall the name of it, however

Yes... Sunjata is a very solid actor and was quite excellent as the "complicated" Paul Briggs, in Graceland.

...Um, you guys do know this a quote straight from V for Vendetta, right? Haha :D

reply

Exactly no need to feed the trolls . You love the show that is all that should matter

reply

It's a message board, not a worship board.

reply

I have no problem with anyone voicing their opinion. However, if you cant give a mature explanation why you dont like it then I can't be bothered to read what you have to say.

Everyone won't like every television show. I personally liked this show. I enjoyed Piper in Covert Affairs and Daniel in Graceland. Neither of those 2 shows and it looks like this one as well are fast paced or hard to understand what is happening in the episode. Well except for bjarias who felt the episode was way too fast and hard to understand. Personally I think they smoked a joint while watching the episode and they had a hard time staying focused. :P

reply

I know not everyone is going to like a show, i just wish people would stay away from the message boards if they only have negative comments. If i don't like a show i stay away from the message boards, i don't go on it and run the show down and say how much i hate it.

reply

Believe it or not, most people reading these boards for actual reviews, don't pay any attention to the "I hated it!!!". "It's utter garbage!!!" posts.
They are usually just teenagers that want attention.
If you liked the show, tell us why.
If you didn't, tell us why.

reply

Well i mostly like it for Daniel Sunjata.

reply

Too bad I hate it. I gave it a 2 .

reply

I guess i should just realize that some people are so unhappy that they want to bring everyone else down too.

That is true of some so the question becomes, what's that got to do with you?

Have you considered that someone else's intent needn't dictate your experience?

I love this series but I'm not brought down in any way just because someone else is struggling with their entertainment viewing. LOL I don't like everything, either. I just wish them well finding something better suited to their tastes. And, if they are stuck or obsessed and can't move on, then I judge them as having a problem... but it's their problem so I just ignore it when they repeat it, on and on.

But, say you can't mentally set that boundary... there's another option.

Are you aware that these boards have an "ignore" button? That is so that when any of us would prefer not to be exposed to the communication style of any other poster, we just press a button and voila - they disappear. It's magic. :)

Other options include seeing a chance to ask what they are looking for and taking the opportunity to share some tip about another show you like and they might like. There's also a sense of humor - some complainers are very, very good at it! Clever, you know? There's a chance to ask what specifically they don't like. Just show some interest in the differing views of others.

And finally, and the most important part of this topic to me, is that I love free speech. That means, sometimes, I'm going to feel offended or maybe feel annoyed or even be reminded of something personal and bad. It's not all fun or agreeable. But, there's beauty in the variety, in the generosity of spirit each person expresses when they post their own view. Yes, some remind us that not everyone is well in the world. So, maybe think, "But for grace, there go I."

I'll close by mentioning... can you see the irony in this... you think they abuse their time by giving attention to something they don't like... much like you are doing when you take your focus off of sharing with others here about the show/film and instead, choose to have a conversation about something that you don't like!

Like I said, the complainers can be hilarious!

ETA: Just click on the ignore button once you've decided you have no interest in reading a poster's views.

What's the use of reading opinions if they only agree with yours?
This isn't a fan site.

reply

After 2 episodes, I think I like this even better than 'How to Get Away with Murder'! Maybe 'they' will consider a second series???

reply

So far i like it better than How to get away with murder, I like Daniel Sunjata better than any of the actors on that show.

reply

Right! I miss 'Graceland'! But I still don't think he was right for "Joe Morelli" in 'One for the Money'... happy watching!

reply

Ummm, he actually didn't play Joe Morelli in One For The Money, that was Jason O'Mara. Daniel played Ranger.

reply

Jason O'Mara is now on Agents Of Shield. I remember Piper from Covert Affairs which started out so good and then died a horrible death on USA Network. I wasn't going to watch because of how Covert Affairs fell into the dumpster. I was so pleasantly surprised. I love fast paced shows with twists and turns. The pilot never stopped sending one shock after another. People can hate it, after one episode I think Lethal Weapon on Fox is the dumbest show I've seen in years, but that is my opinion. I will say it once and move on. Quite frankly I've given up on FOX and USA. Jason O'Mara was in a great show, Complications on USA and it was DOA. People troll these boards to fight, while people like us want to share insight and yes everyone is entitled to their own opinion but to beat something to death means get a job.

reply

IMDB is an open forum where folks can and should, express their thoughts and feelings about the shows they watch, free from comment Nazis, like you, who can't stand a difference of opinion. Your comment reminds me of whiny brats at Universities who are complaining about Professors challenging them to think out of their comfort zones, (or the bubble Mommy and Daddy built for them), and demanding the Schools be "safe zones", because they can be "offended" by anything from a Halloween costume that might depict a Naughty Nurse to someone else supporting reproductive rights for Panda Bears. Get a grip.

reply

You haven't even been reading what I've been saying, it's fine if people don't like the show and i said that, i just don't know why people have to be so hateful calling it garbage and stuff like that. That's all.
