having sex at an Asian wedding...that's pretty daring

It was a sad film...the dad did not seem like a harsh man ...it seems out of character for him to behave the way he did.

being Asian my father was harsh, he was rude arrogant and very very abusive...(he probably would have agreed with me that Harroon was a bit of a twat) and being explosive and violent in nature would have been 'normal'

however for this dad his response seemed out of character as the circle he mixed in was not that big (there were 400 people at my cousins engagement party) and I don't think he even liked Harroon that much to begin with

just my cents. beautifully acted and choreographed film and the leads were outstanding.

I thought the exact same! You'd think she'd be terrified to speak to a boy at an Asian wedding and she's doing one!

It's a really powerful film though, you feel sorry for Salma as well as the dad

I'd say the true culprits were Haroon and his dad. Hated them from the very beginning.
