This show is as slow as molasses going uphill in January. Perhaps the director and the editor need to look into a film class on pacing, buildup, and suspense. This entire series could have been told just as effectively in about 3 episodes.
(And just to make it completely annoying they add characters in the 6th episode who don't speak English!)
Did anyone else hear John Williams's CLOSE ENCOUNTERS music in the score?

Well, you've hit one of the ubiquitous comments. Now just do ones on "racist" and "gay subtext" and you'll have the hat trick.

It's a western. They tend to have this kind of languorous pace. If it's not your cup of tea, I guess it's not, but I (for the most part) loved the show and thought the pacing was great.

It did drag a bit in episodes five and six, but the rest of it was great.
