Poor Nick...

I just turned on the TV. Watching a repeat episode from a few weeks ago that I didn't see. He was just speaking to the camera in a very hushed, serious voice about... a door handle shaking...!!!!!!!!

Ya know, I never thought of the monetary side to these shows until I read something about Zak having a Lamborghini collection, and how a single car can cost OVER a million $$$$.

$o, I get it. But, this is focken ri-donk-dick-u-lous. By the end of the season, my guess is he'll have a pronounced lisp, and will be cross-dressing.

"KATRINA! KATRINA! HEEELP! I JUTH THAW A WICKED BIG THCARY THADOW!!!!!"

"Nick, are you okay?!" x15 per ep. Ugh.

Great show!!!! Better than Ghost Adventures and other shows on Travel Channel!!!!

DEFINITELY! Or, some-ghost's-got-a-crush... ;=9)B

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

You got me again, Popedon!

I feel badly for Nick, too. He wants this show to work out so badly, and I think he's probably an okay guy. Yet, the things that happen on his show are so obviously faked, from the "self-swinging" noose to the "just off camera" sightings, to the easily-explained staff-induced "sounds" to the puff of smoke that was blown from behind a wall in tonight's episode in Saint Ignatius Hospital. So, I'm not sure it will have a lot of success. Then again, I AM still watching, despite much of the eye-rolling in which I engage during each episode. So, maybe there is hope yet!

Hi, friend. HAPPY NEW YEAR!

One thing I HAVE to share with you, that I haven't shared w/ anyone yet. Okay? Ready? Are you scared yet...?! Nick has the longest neck I've ever seen on anyone other than those women from Bali, or Laos, who stack metal chokers around their necks till their necks are 2 feet long. I couldn't put my finger on it till recently. The facial hair was throwing me. But his neck is very loooooong. Did he wear shirts w/ collars on GA...? Please tell me you've noticed that.

Look how loooong my neck is!>>>> ;=9)B}======{

I'm going to stop wearing collar shirts, too, and show off my not quite as long, but probably thicker ;p neck, too. I'm gonna invest in some neck rings, and start a trend. Maybe.

If I hear him talk about his "emotions" one more funkin' time, lady, I'm gonna lose it! I think he'll probably calm down when his M=>F transition is completed. Did you see the episode where he experienced the "most frightening thing" that's ever happened to him? The "SOMETHING GOT MY FEET!!" episode? That was really, really embarrassing. Just pathetic. But I yelled that out loud through out the week, and laughed my ahss off every time I did, so, "it's a good thing" as a famous vampire likes to say.

A couple of weeks ago I couldn't even watch it. They were just making so much out of nothing. I think he's having a negative effect on Katrina, because she's turning into a big scaredy cat, too. But, the other show, with the two TAPS (Terribly Afraid Plumbers Shaking) rejects is even worse, so... Hey Zak's looking better and better, isn't he?!

How was your Christmas? Mine was pretty good, but I didn't get the "sexy" gas mask I axed fo'. I guess I'll just have to try to be a good(er) boy this year.
RIGHT.

; ^ )B

"We lost Katrina."
"Where is she?"
"In... THE BACK YARD!!!!"
"KAAATRIINAAAAAAA!!"

reply

Lmao ,Popedon1 I thought only i had noticed his long friggin neck... lol

reply

OMG! That's not even an exaggeration, is it?! I was on the couch last night watching his foolishness, eyes heavy from a long week (but not as long as you-know-what), and in a brief moment of clarity, I looked up at the screen, and there it was: a LONG neck with a head and body attached to it!

You know The Fantastic Four? He could play Dr. Reed Richards, without the CGI! It, that neck, is just so weird-looking. I mean, how did he hide it all those years on GA?! I don't know of a collar that could cover all of that. And, wouldn't a turtleneck kind of give the game away?

Thanks for confirming that, marlock. I just read they're closing these message boards! That's like 90% of the reason I slum here. I guess IMDB wants to lose most of it's audience, to "show" President Trump, or what ever "logical" reason that gobbledygook they posted is supposed to mean.

Where am I supposed to go to point-out abnormally long humanoid necks now...?!

reply

yep,I signed a petition against them closing down the message boards but i doubt it will help,I agree with you without the message boards this will be a boring site to visit
and thx again popedon1 for making me laugh so hard i spilled my coffee lol...

Peace

reply

Blasphemy!!
Nick's neck is comparable to a beautiful swan: long, graceful, patrician, and free of blemish.

I ogle Nick all the time on TV and I've never noticed an abnormally long neck. But whatever, it just adds to his intrinsic grace & beauty & hotness. lol

Yeah there is a lot of money to be made but I do wonder if all of that comes from their shows or their side projects. Seems to be their shows are just a way of getting their "Brand name" out there so they can peddle t shirts and CD's and art etc etc

I wouldn't care so much that the show was faked if it was entertaining but it isn't even that. Not even perving on Katrina could keep me watching this borefest.

Well, the reason "reality" shows are popular -- with TV networks -- is that they're comparatively cheaper to make. (It sure aint for the quality. Not that TV execs care about THAT.) They save on sets, WRITERS, etc. Though, they pay for Motel 6s, gas, multiple changes of underwear for Nick...

My guess is the majority of the budget goes into paying the "talent"; then, paying the owners of the sites they visit.

If Nick gets paid as an "actor" and a producer, that's a nice double-dipping paycheck. He'd have to sell a ton of Tshirts, to come close to that. I've yet to buy a Ghost Adventures Tshirt, you? There's just something about paying $30 for a shirt with Zak's mug on the front, ya know...?!

("Perving on Katrina" -- LOL! ;)B

reply

Oh for sure the networks save a heap of money. Australian TV is virtually 100% reality now days as a result.

I'm thinking as he is the producer he would get a fair bit and he would incorporate his "acting" and "writing" into some kind of pack for the network. What I didn't consider was the advertisers and how much revenue these shows can pull in and the producers of these shows would get a cut from that as well I assume.

I'm not American so it's a bit of a mystery to me how popular some of these channels like the Travel Network for example is, when I first saw Ghost Adventures I immediately saw it as some super low budget show and didn't think for a moment that anyone was making big dollars from it!

I don't recall the episode but it was in Season 1 and Nick and Kat are doing stretches, Kat is reclining back and proves herself to be rather bendy, easily the highlight of the entire series.

I live in America, and I can't gauge how popular Travel Channel is, either. I watch Ghost Adventures, and Dead Files. That's it. And I don't know anyone else who watches. Their other programs are garbage. Ninety percent is about eating. But, if they can pay Zak enough so he can collect Lamborghinis, and buy the largest residential house in Nevada... they must be doing okay. Cheap shows all about eating...don't forget "Booze Traveler", ugh. They're not shelling out for quality anything. My guess is they have money to burn.

I just saw the episode you're talking about. Nick said he calls his exercise, "humping the floor" (or something like that), and she laughed. Forced laughter, but...

I was surprised she was exercising without a gun to her head, though. Great face, nice girl. She should hang with braver guys, though. ;p

reply

He's making a fortune that is for sure. Although I think his time is coming to an end, these shows were popular once because at least wanted to believe they were true. That isn't the case anymore and the shows themselves aren't entertaining anymore either.

Food shows are boring too now, they were once a little fun, Man vs Food in particular was a fave of mine. Now I watch them and just see sickening amounts of food being eaten by unfit people with very red faces.

Yep that is the ep, Katrina looks great and she does provide a fake and forced laugh to Nick's childish humour. I was surprised she exercised as well but it was only Pilates, very good for you and will tone your body but not the same as breaking a sweat by going for a run.

And she should hang with braver guys but then braver guys would forget about the ghosts if they were locked in a house with her for 3 days too. At least I know I would.

I expect Nick will be completing his transition to a woman by the end of this season though that is an insult to women. Talk about a drama queen.
