Most cynical movie I've seen in a long time

Basically, the world is a sewer and so it's okay to behave like a sewer rat. I can't say I approve of the message.

In fairness, the two leads were great and I found myself interested in the film, so I wouldn't call it a waste of time. I was just hoping for a better payoff, a more uplifting one.

Really cynical. Just really cynical.
