Lots of people said she deserves to get nominated and I'm just now.. surprised.

I don't think she does. It was a good performance, but not worthy of a nomination or win, in my opinion.

Not at all.
Nothing extraordinary about how she played the character.

I was so exited going in to see her performance because of all the Oscar hoopla.
Left very disappointed. Everyone acted fine in a mediocre movie.

Queen Latifah was nominated for Chicago in 2002, and her performance didn't deserve it, so?

No, she doesn't. She needs to master acting first, then we could talk about being nominated! She's got a long journey to go. Nu pun intended.

Not one nomination. I haven't seen it yet but everyone I know who did swore she was going to get it.
