shareI am curious as to how much we see on the show ARE actual innovations that are pending FDA approval, or still in testing, etc. 3D printing, for example, is a reality. So creating an exact model of the patient's heart with the tumor on it, out of a type of plastic that simulates real tissue, is absolutely possible with today's technology.

You can't actually believe they care do you? If they did they'd give away billions to hospitals years ago. Bill Gates did create a machine that extract water from feces so Africans have 'clean' drinking water, so yeah clean poop juice.
There is St Jude's Hospital, which was founded by Danny Thomas who was religious. But I guess having a hospital being founded based on the religious belief in a Saint isn't going to work in Hollywood.
We do have a lot of important hospitals in the US. I guess you never heard of John Hopkins either? There is a world outside of network tv. Just saying
