Wilde -
Your post is rife with negative, personal assumptions. You do know that this form of deflection is the tactic of the fact-less and as such, is readily dismissed, right?
Also, you appear to be suffering a reading comprehension problem. (Or, if I was unclear, you are going to have to point it out.)
You are questioning the use of a specific religion being associated with a character whom is a batterer. (as if that weren't reflective of reality)
At what point did I claim anything about the rate of abuse amongst religious versus irreligious?
Can you quote what I wrote that led you to think that? ^^^
All religions are not male-supremacist based but the ones that are, like all supremacist ideologies, do support the entitlement views of batterers.
On this point - that you suggest my motivation is political partisanism... gee, or maybe my children and grandchildren were in Orlando when the shooting happened and our family was lucky enough to only be terrified of loss rather than suffering so much more as others did?
And, maybe this increase in religious bigotry and in-fighting between religious groups for whom are the chosen ones, whom are the superior group, etc... SUPPORTS terrorism by taking the focus off of actual, effective, known factors to use for profiling? Get a clue!
Orlando Shooterโs Domestic Abuse History Should Have Been A Warning Sign

We're overlooking the pattern of domestic abuse and violence among mass shooters.

https://www.democracynow.org/2016/6/14/when_it_comes_to_orlando_massacreBeing a hateful sort (male-supremacist version), your disinformation regarding feminism is clear.
Your thoughts are being controlled by people who have sold you a false narrative about your moral and social superiority due to your genitals.
Feminists are men and women whom recognize and value EQUALITY, being fair-minded. It's the patriarchs whom are the supremacists. If you recognize the equality of women then you are a feminist.
A supremacist view is ALWAYS based on a lack of knowledge, willful ignorance and self-service and to maintain such illogical, hateful views, many become violent. There's no difference between a sex-based supremacist or a race-based supremacist except one group based their delusion of superiority on genitalia while the other group uses a different body organ, skin, as their claim to fame. LOL
But, we can't just laugh them off.
The male-supremacists don't like the spotlight being shone on them when it comes to their violent brothers being the #1 group that commits acts of mass murder. Forget religion and politics and give FACTS a chance.
For those reasons, I support the media depictions in tv shows and films, of the connection between domestic violence and adherence to male-supremacist-based religions.
