good concept, poor execution

being a fan of baseball and having no problem with a woman breaking the glass ceiling, I really want to like this show but there's something off about it. I don't know if it's the script. the cast, or the director. I predict it want last a full season

I agree. Im not a fan of baseball, but I watched hoping the story lines would be interesting. There is definitely something missing. Its a little predictable. I don't know why but I figured her father was dead during the previews. Its a little cliché with the catcher being her mentor and the guy she knows sticking up for her. Even her agent is uninteresting.

It may last a season (I hope it gets better), but I don't think it will get a second one.

I disagree, I really like the show. But I gues not everyone will like the same things!

One of the major issues is absolutely nothing about this series is compelling. After two episodes, I'm impressed at how boring they are painting this world of a woman in a premiere sport. Kylie Bunbury is also an extremely dull choice for the lead, and even Saved By The Bell can't give her any charisma by osmosis.

I liked the first episode.

The second episode was terrible. A very sharp decline. The time jump allowed writers to cop out and avoid advancing prior storylines. The multiple flashbacks disrupted the flow and took the audiences out of the moment; plus, none of the flashbacks were essential or compelling.

I think the lead is a pretty girl but somewhat unlikeable. She came off as too arrogant and closed off in the first episode.

In the second, she smiled and laughed more, but that only helped a little.

Her friend on the team and brother are both annoying. The father was interesting but now, gone.

I'll see how the 3rd eppy goes before deciding if I'll leave this on my DVR.

I agree. I'm a huge fan of Kylie Bunberry and was excited for Pitch but something is missing. It's extremely predictable and downright boring.

I think Pitch is quite refreshing. I can name many wonderful and different aspects that this show stands out. For starters, it's awesome to see a TV show about a team who isn't based on the East coast. Second, she's an African-American and most importantly, She's a WOMAN in a male dominated sport. And for me personally, anything that Paris Barclay has his hand in, I'll watch. # San Diego Padres #Pitch
